A Good Day for Coyotes

I particularly want to highlight coyotes because they are in more danger than ever from this administration and wildlife “management” agencies propelled by junk science and blood lust who think they have a mandate for destruction. An administration hell bent on plundering natural resources and destroying more public land for animal agriculture is going to be even worse about attempting to destroy those they see as “scavengers” or “predators.” Celebrate the coyote. Osprey

The osprey are another favorite as they pass through in the fall and spring. If you have never seen one dive into the water, it is pretty spectacular. I do not often get so many good looks, so this was a super fun weekend. Click on pictures to enlarge.

Belted Kingfisher

I am in love with this belted kingfisher. I have seen her before patrolling up and down the spillway at Clinton Lake. This morning was the first time I have ever been close enough to get a decent picture. I love the sounds she makes and her head-first dives into the water. And, of course, how remarkably cool she looks. Click on pictures to enlarge.
