Love that nose!

I feel like this rabbit and I know each other very well. We see each other pretty much every day. She has a great little place under a shrub where she spends most of the day. When I am out in the yard, she comes over and hangs out on the periphery.  We have a nice respect for each other.  She never gets closer than a couple of feet and I never make any sudden moves. We get along. She’s probably getting a little tired of having her picture taken. 🙂

Lone pelican

There has been a lone pelican hanging out at the Wakarusa Wetlands recently. I hope he is okay. I’m guessing he is a young one who was blown off course during one of the many recent storms and is resting here for a while. I wish him the best on the rest of his journey. Goslings!

I haven’t seen many goslings this spring. I don’t know if it is weather-related or something else. Perhaps, it is just me not being in the right place at the right time. Anyway, I was delighted to find a large group at the Wakarusa Wetlands (even if they’re almost grown now). Click on pictures to enlarge.
