Location, location, location

After a careful inspection, this looks like the place. I’ll be checking back in a bit to see the bluebird puffballs! Hope I can remember which tree this is. 🙂 Click on pictures to enlarge.

  1. This is a neat series of photos. Where are you located? Our bluebird group puts out nesting boxes in the eastern Kansas area and have had lots of success with them. I have had bluebirds nesting in the open ends of my clothes line poles, but have not seen a pair in a natural cavity. I know they must do this, but had not seen it. Thanks for sharing. I would welcome more information as the eggs hatch.

  2. Thank you! They’re at Clinton State Park on the road to the Marina. I’ve driven past a few times looking for the same tree. I think I found the tree, but have not seen them. I will definitely post more if I find them again. 🙂

  3. I found this tree again, but it appears they are not using it. I’ve been back there a few times and haven’t seen them around.
