I know you all get tired of hearing this from me, but as we all get back to our yards this spring, please consider building a brush pile. Neighborhood wildlife will thank you.

Big pink moon
What the fox really says
“Give me more raisins!” This beauty came by to eat raisins (I put them out on the patio for robins). She looks a little worn, but I think there are some babies nearby. I was so happy the sun was shining because I took all of these through the glass window. They came out better than I thought they would. Click on pictures to enlarge.
Mock, yeah
Had a great time this morning watching this mockingbird foraging around the trees. Click on pictures to enlarge.
Red-bellied beauty
We see red-bellied woodpeckers every day at our feeders. I get so used to seeing them, that I forget what a privilege that is and just how beautiful they are. Click on pictures to enlarge.
Brown thrashers arrive
One of my favorite signs of spring is the arrival of the brown thrashers and their beautiful songs from high in the trees. Click on pictures to enlarge.
