Northern pintail
They look so elegant. Click on picture to enlarge.
Muskrat love
I know I’ve used that title before, but just about every time I see them, I get that Captain and Tennille song in my head. Might as well share. 🙂 Click on pictures to enlarge.
Fast moving minks
I’ve been seeing quite a few minks at the Wakarusa Wetlands lately. They dart out to take a look at me, but move so quickly, they’re almost always gone by the time I get the camera up and ready. I have managed to get a few interesting shots over the last few weeks. They certainly are cute! Click on pictures to enlarge.
Running across the ice.
This one swam right up to me a few times. Wonderful!
Deer family
I met this very cute family along the road a few weeks ago. Click on pictures to enlarge.
Coots!
Water birds
There is something about the name “waterfowl” that bothers me. I think it stems from someone telling me once that “fowl don’t feel.” So this spring, while everyone is talking about the spring migration of waterfowl coming through, I’ll be using a little different language. Everybody’s talkin at me
Everywhere I went the other day, geese were talking. They were flying and talking, landing and talking, swimming and talking. Spring is coming. Click on pictures to enlarge.
