This little cutie came to check me out when I was taking pictures at the wetlands on Monday. It’s amazing how these little ones will travel a hundred miles or more in a night during migration. Click on picture to enlarge.

Seeing an old friend
Monday, September 7th, 2009We were driving by one of the eagle nests we regularly check in on today and to our surprise one of the parents was there. It was so exciting to see her/him back so early. I have no idea if this pair leaves the area after the young ones fledge or if they hang around, but it sure was a nice surprise. Click on picture to enlarge.
