Wednesday, March 24th, 2010I’m always happy and a bit worried to see our neighborhood turkey stroll through. She’s beautiful and more than welcome to stop by, hang out, eat birdseed, whatever. I just don’t want her to get hit by a car, shot at, or picked up by animal control. On a more positive note, she did head back into a wooded area where I think she’s fairly safe. She’s back!
Sunday, March 7th, 2010Our neighborhood wild turkey strolled by this morning before heading off into a wooded area. I’m always happy to see her going in that direction because it looks a lot safer back there than some of the other spots I have seen her. Unfortunately, an article in the local paper gave away that she’s been hanging out in this area, which makes me worry for her safety (if you’ve read the comments on an article like that, you know what I mean). Here’s hoping she stays safe and finds her family or group to hang out with. Click on pictures to enlarge.
